I am a public servant who has served this community for over 30-years. I led the creation of “Ban the Box” for city applicants, “TLCforCLT” which brought grant funds for home repairs for elders and the working poor. I have been a vocal advocate on issues such as housing affordability, ending for-profit prisons, small business creation, and against police brutality. I have worked to build relationships in our minority communities and connect them to local resources. I believe that it is my responsibility as an elected official to address the issues that are impacting the daily lives of my community.
