DFA says Dems “deserve real credit” for forcing GOP to drop anti-refugee riders in Omnibus
Statement from Democracy for America’s Charles Chamberlain on reports that Republicans have halted plans to use the omnibus spending bill to continue their attacks on refugees:
“If reports hold true and strong Democratic opposition has prevented anti-American refugee restrictions from making it into the omnibus spending bill, it will represent a real victory for time-tested American values and the hundreds of thousands of grassroots progressives who spoke out in their defense.
