Pamela Price was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She joined the civil rights movement at age 13. She is a survivor of the Ohio juvenile justice and foster care systems. After earning her Bachelor’s at Yale, Price attended UC Berkeley School of Law where she received her J.D. and a Master’s degree in Jurisprudence & Social Policy. She started her career as a Criminal Defender in Bayview Hunter’s Point in San Francisco.

In 2002, Price’s Firm made legal history in Morgan v. Amtrak, 536 U.S. 101 (2002), by winning the appeal of a defense verdict first in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and then in the U.S. Supreme Court. Price is one of a handful of African-American women who have ever argued a case in the United States Supreme Court.

Pamela’s 10-point platform is one of the most progressive platforms espoused by a District Attorney candidate. She is running to end mass incarceration, eliminate racial disparities in the criminal justice system and hold law enforcement officers accountable. Under her leadership, the DA’s office will stop criminalizing poverty, and give over-criminalized communities and formerly incarcerated residents “a second chance at a first class life.”
