Darcy Poll Release
Burlington, VTDemocracy for America (DFA) recently commissioned a poll showing that progressive candidate Darcy Burner is leading in the democratic primary in Washingtons First Congressional District. Among likely primary voters, Darcy holds a commanding 4-point lead over her closest Democratic contender -- securing 40% of voters who identify as Democrats, despite there being six other candidates in the field.
This poll clearly indicates that Washingtonians have made up their mind and are ready for Darcy to take on Tea-Party extremist John Koster in the general election,said Arshad Hasan, Executive Director of Democracy for America.Darcy is like you and me and ordinary person with a groundswell of grassroots support. Her campaign is made up of volunteers from local communities because Darcy will stand up for the people of Washingtons First Congressional District. Shes supported by her community because of her views on creating jobs and building the economy. Time and again voters side with Darcy. The poll shows that voters don't trust candidates funded by some secretive Super PAC or by their own corporate wealth. Darcy is the real deal.
DFA commissioned a poll early this week(Monday 7/16 and Tuesday 7/17)asking 521 likely primary voters from the First Congressional District whom they intend to support in the August primary.
