Democracy for America backs Joe Neguse for CO-02 reelection
Today, Democracy for America (DFA) announced its endorsement of Joe Neguse ahead of his bid for reelection in Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District.
Democracy for America backed Neguse early in his 2018 race for Congress and celebrated his trail-blazing, general election victory last November. Rep. Neguse currently has no formally announced Republican challengers.
Neguse joins just seven other incumbents DFA has endorsed ahead of the 2020 political cycle including Reps. Mike Levin (CA-49), Katie Porter (CA-45) and Lauren Underwood (IL-14) whom the grassroots progressive organization endorsed in June. DFA made its first round of 2020 incumbent endorsements in April by backing Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), Ilhan Omar (MN-5), Ayanna Pressley (MA-7), and Rashida Tlaib (MI-13).
Statement from DFA CEO Yvette Simpson on the grassroots progressive group’s endorsement of Neguse:
