Democracy for America endorses Colin Van Ostern for New Hampshire Governor
This morning, Democracy for America (DFA) announced its endorsement of Executive Councilor Colin Van Ostern for Governor of New Hampshire during a press conference call featuring DFA Executive Director Charles Chamberlain and Van Ostern.
This is DFA’s very first gubernatorial endorsement of the 2016 election cycle and the grassroots PAC’s second endorsement of Van Ostern. DFA previously supported Van Ostern in his successful 2012 race for New Hampshire’s Executive Council.

DFA’s endorsement of Van Ostern brings with it a grassroots army of more than 17,800 in New Hampshire and more than 1 million nationwide that has knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors, made over 11.1 million phone calls, and raised and contributed more than $36.6 million to help elect 843 progressive candidates nationwide since 2004.
In the 2016 cycle, DFA has already endorsed Carol Shea-Porter in her bid for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District. Previously, DFA led grassroots efforts in the Granite State to encourage Senator Warren to run for President in 2015, helped efforts to flip the State Senate to Democratic control in 2014, and supported Rep. Ann McLane Kuster’s bids for Congress in 2012 and 2010.
