Democracy for America endorses Kesha Ram for Vermont Lt. Governor
This morning, Democracy for America (DFA) announced its endorsement of Kesha Ram for Lieutenant Governor of Vermont.
Based in Burlington, this is DFA’s first lieutenant gubernatorial endorsement of the 2016 election cycle and the grassroots PAC’s only statewide endorsement in Vermont. DFA also supported Ram in her first race for the Vermont State House in 2008.

Statement from Kesha Ram on earning the support of DFA’s grassroots members in Vermont and across the country:
“Eight years ago, I was outspent in my campaign for the legislature nearly 3-to-1 and lacked the support of Montpelier insiders. Democracy for America recognized the movement I was creating at the grassroots and lent their support when the odds were against me in a race I won with the largest margin of any challenger in the state.

DFA’s endorsement of Ram brings with it a grassroots army of more than 16,180 in Vermont and more than 1 million nationwide that has knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors, made over 11.1 million phone calls, and raised and contributed more than $36.6 million to help elect 843 progressive candidates nationwide since 2004.
