DFA Endorses Central New Jersey Progressives for State Senate, Assembly and County Freeholder

Democracy for America today endorsed multiple Central New Jersey progressives, including candidates for State Senate, Assembly, and County Freeholder. The national progressive organization has 45,306 members in New Jersey.

Democracy for America Chair Jim Dean on the endorsements:

“The elections in New Jersey this year are an exciting opportunity to build more progressive power in the state. Some of these candidates have earned the respect of their constituents through a strong record of standing up for working families and against corporate power. Others are answering Bernie Sanders’ call by running for office for the first time, using a progressive platform to take on the establishment in both parties.

"The progressive path to power begins with electing more populists to state legislatures and local offices. Our members are excited to support these candidates in New Jersey, who are a model for the types of campaigns and organizing we need to see more of in all fifty states.” - Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America
