RESPONSE: DFA on SCOTUS rulings on gerrymandering, 2020 Census immigration question

This morning, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a pair of rulings that will allow the far right to continue it's out-of-control partisan gerrymandering and, at least at present, halt the Trump administration from adding a count-suppressing citizenship question to the 2020 U.S. Census.

DFA responded to both of these rulings via its Twitter account:

This #SCOTUS ruling is a tragic failure of our courts to stand up for democracy that raises the stakes of the #2020Election even higher -- we must elect leaders UP AND DOWN our ballots committed to the people picking their elected leaders, not the other way around.

While #SCOTUS's anti-voter #Gerrymandering ruling is a blow to democracy, today's ruling on #Census2020 immigration question at least gives us hope that the Trump's effort to suppress the census count to rig more elections & deprive Blue states of resources will be hampered.
